About Berwick Tax
Berwick Tax is a specialist tax investigations practice. We help individuals, businesses, and other taxpayers resolve disputes and investigations with HMRC, and make a voluntary disclosure of taxation irregularities.
Our work covers a broad range of tax enquiries, from simple errors to cases involving suspected fraud. We also assist clients who wish to make a voluntary disclosure before HMRC becomes aware of an issue.
With extensive experience and an HMRC background, we have a deep understanding of how investigations unfold. While we have handled thousands of cases, we never lose sight of the fact that, for most clients, this is a rare and stressful experience. We guide our clients through every stage of the process, keeping them informed and ensuring they understand their options.
How We Work
We liaise with our clients to assess the problem, and consider potential options to reach a satisfactory resolution with HMRC. We will consider whether this can be achieved through negotiation, or it is necessary to use formal routes to reach a conclusion. We consider each client’s particular circumstances, and guide them through whichever option is taken.
We provide straightforward advice, where needed, and are always honest about possible outcomes and potential costs.
